I hope it rains for 2 weeks and Sir Cliff is carted away mid song during one of his "impromptu" sing-alongs by Operation Yewtree officers.

Wimbledon is all a bit fucking twee for my liking. They should liven it up a bit by introducing rogue exploding balls, introduce a net that gives electric shocks, employ ball boys from Feltham young offenders institute, have female Italian TV presenters walk around the court holding up the score in between each game and lace the strawberries and fucking cream with MDMA. Then I will watch it.

People who slag off tennis tend to be those who have never tried playing it, or have found that they are no good at it. I've been a football and tennis fan/player since I was about 8. Both sports are brilliant, but tennis requires levels of self-control and discipline way beyond any team sport.

We all know how you feel about tennis Sold. No need to go on and on and on about it every time someone starts a thread on it.

Serena Williams is odds on before a ball is hit. Mental.

I love my tennis and so will be getting involved in this whenever I can.
Serena is actually 13/8 with Paddy Power, though considering she's only won it 5 times in 13 years, she's definitely not bomb proof.
Have gone for Kvitova at 4's.
Djokovic is 11/8 and that may be decent value considering his half of the draw is a lot easier.

Impossible to look past Djokovic, especially as how the draw has fallen very kindly for him.
Murray has to hope he can sweep Nadal and or Federer aside in relatively short time in order to not be tanked by the time he gets to the final and faces someone who is undoubtedly going to be fresh as a daisy.
Just have to hope Raonic, Nishikori or Wawrinka can give him a proper game.

Re: Wimbledon 2015

No disrespect to Nadal, but he'll probably be long gone before any meeting with Murray anyway and I think Murray would piss all over him 3-0 anyway as it's on grass.
Shadow of his former self unfortunately and grass never was his strong point (which is obviously a silly thing to say about someone who has only lost 16 matches on it).
Just looking and in one 7 year period, Federer only lost 1 match on grass. Not many tournaments, but still ridiculous and he was 72 wins and 1 loss.
